π We now have an 'Adjust Grades' feature that allows you to add equal points to students' grades to adjust the average.
The below methods will affect individual students' marks differently depending on a) whether they answered the question correctly, and b) how well they scored on the test as a whole. To add the same number of marks to each student, use our 'Adjust Grades' feature.
Option 1: Remove Question from the test
To remove a question from the test...
Go to the 'Responses' tab and double click on the desired question in the top row of the table.
Set the 'Marks' to "0" and click 'Okay'. Click 'Save Changes.'
Akindi will automatically regrade the test sheets and update the average.
How will this affect student's grades?
Removing a question from the test will reduce the total number of marks of the assessment (eg. from 25 to 24) and remove any points earned by answering this question correctly.
The students that originally answered this question correctly, will receive a decrease in their grade.
The students that originally answered this question incorrectly, will receive an increase in their grade.

Option 2: Set Question as Bonus
To set the question as a bonus question...
Go to the 'Responses' tab and double click on the desired question in the top row of the table.
Click the 'Bonus' checkbox and click 'Okay'. Click 'Save Changes.'
Akindi will automatically regrade the test sheets and update the average.
How will this affect student's grades?
A Bonus question will reduce the total number of marks of the assessment (eg. from 25 to 24) while still awarding any points earned by answering this question correctly. With Bonus questions, it would be possible for a student to earn over 100% (eg. 25/24).
The students that originally answered this question correctly, will receive an increase in their grade.
The students that originally answered this question incorrectly, will receive an increase in their grade.
Higher performing students will receive a larger grade increase compared to lower performing students.

Akindi will automatically regrade the test sheets and update the average.
How will this affect student's grades?

The students that originally answered this question incorrectly, will receive an increase in their grade.
