Test packets
PDF Format: Akindi combines your question content and bubble sheet into one stapled test packet.
Printing Instructions:
Prefilled: Each packet has a student's information printed on the bubble sheet.
Print using subset stapling.Not Prefilled: Akindi generates a generic packet you can photocopy.
Print the needed number of copies.
Proctoring Instructions:
Distribute a single stapled packet to each student.
If packets are prefilled with student information, ensure each student is completing the proper packet.
Scanning Instructions:
Collect all test packets.
Remove the bubble sheet from the stapled test packet, sorting the bubble sheet and question sheets into separate piles.
Scan all bubble sheets into a PDF(s) and upload the PDF(s) to Akindi for grading.
Separate PDFs
PDF Format: Akindi generates multiple PDFs:
A PDF for each version of question sheets.
A PDF for the bubble sheets.
Printing Instructions:
Print the needed number of copies for each version of question sheets with packets stapled.
Print the bubble sheet PDF - do not staple.
Proctoring Instructions:
Distribute a stapled question sheet packet to each student.
Distribute a bubble sheet to each student. Instruct the student to fill in their version bubble.
If bubble sheets are prefilled with student information, ensure each student is completing the proper bubble sheet.
Scanning Instructions:
Collect bubble sheets into one pile.
Collect question sheets into a separate pile.
Scan bubble sheets into a PDF(s) and upload the PDF(s) to Akindi for grading.

Below are the details, pros, and cons of choosing each test packet option.
Understanding unique vs. same QR codes
Every bubble sheet and written answer sheet has a QR code. Akindi uses it to match each student's written answer sheets to their bubble sheet. There are two kinds of QR codes:
Unique QR Codes: Every student receives a unique QR code, enabling Akindi to group written answer question sheets and bubble sheets together, even if pages are scanned out of order.
Akindi expects unique QR codes to be used only once, so you cannot photocopy the test packets.Same QR Code: Every student receives the same QR code. Because of this, Akindi cannot group test packets that are scanned out of order, so each student's sheets must be scanned together, in packet order.
Selecting the bundle for your assessment

All versions in one PDF
PDF Format: A single PDF containing test packets for every student in your roster.
For multi-version assessments, the versions will automatically rotate through the PDF. For example:
Student 1 = Version A.
Student 2 = Version B.
Student 3 = Version C.
Student 4 = Version A, etc.
Prefill Student Information: Choose whether or not student information is prefilled on bubble sheets.
QR Codes: Each student's test packet contains a unique QR code. Akindi will automatically group scanned test sheets by QR code, even if they are scanned out of order. Unique QR codes cannot be photocopied.
Printing Instructions:
Print the PDF using subset stapling. After downloading, Akindi will specify the number of sheets that should be subset stapled together.
Proctoring Instructions:
Distribute a single stapled packet to each student.
If packets are prefilled with student information, ensure each student is completing the proper packet.

Prefill Student Information: Student info cannot be prefilled on this packet option.
QR Codes: Every student's test packet has the same QR code, requiring test sheets to be manually sorted before scanning.
Printing Instructions:
Print the needed number of copies of each version.
Proctoring Instructions:
Distribute a single stapled packet to each student.
Scanning Instructions:
Remove the written answer question sheets and bubble sheets from the stapled test packet.
Ensure each student's written answer question pages and bubble sheets are arranged in the proper page order (written answer question (WAQ) page 1, WAQ page 2, WAQ page 3, bubble sheet).
Sort the sheets that will be scanned (written answer questions and bubble sheets) and the sheets that will not be scanned into separate piles.
Scan all written answer questions and bubble sheets into a PDF(s) and upload the PDF(s) to Akindi for grading.
The written answer questions and bubble sheets for each student must be scanned in order as Akindi cannot rely on the QR codes to group test packets together.

Because every sheet shares the same QR code, Akindi matches sheets by the order they're scanned. Stack each student's written answer sheet and bubble sheet together, in that order, before scanning.
