What are Test Packet Options?

Choose how the printed packets are organized by selecting the test packet option that best suit your assessment set up.

Each option affects:

  • How your PDFs are generated and how you print them (i.e. 1 PDF vs 1 PDF per version)

  • Subset stapling of packets

  • Whether student information can be pre-filled

  • Sheet scanning order

Best for

Printing and stapling a full class set in one go

Controlling each version separately (ie. print each version on a different colour paper)

Photocopying a packet as many times as needed

One PDF, Alternating Versions

Akindi generates a single PDF with your versions alternating. Print one document for your whole class.

  • Each student has a unique QR code on their bubble sheet and their written answer sheet

  • Version code is already assigned

  • Use subset stapling to create individual packets for each student.

  • You can also choose to prefill student information on the packet.

  • Bubble sheets and written answer sheets can be scanned in any order.

One PDF per Version

Akindi generates a separate PDF for each version of your assessment.

  • Each student has a unique QR code on their bubble sheet and their written answer sheet

  • Version is already assigned

  • Use subset stapling to create individual packets

  • Scan the sheets in any order

Choose this option when you want more control over each version — for example, printing each version on a different colour of paper.

💡After you've downloaded your PDFs, Akindi will advise you on how many pages to subset staple to create individual packets:

One Packet

Akindi generates a single packet that you can photocopy as many times as you need.

  • All students share the same QR code

  • Akindi identifies each student by the order the sheets are scanned rather than by their QR code

  • Student information cannot be pre-filled

  • Scan the sheets in the same order the packet was created - written answer sheet followed by the bubble sheet

💡 Scanning order matters with One Packet
Because every sheet shares the same QR code, scanning out of order will attach responses to the wrong student. Stack each student's written answer sheet and bubble sheet together, in that order, before scanning.
