What are Scanning Errors

When an Akindi is unable to find corner squares and/or a QR code on the test sheet, the sheet is called as a scanning error.

These can be caused by:

  • Damaged test sheets: If the corner squares are cut off by the printer or QR code is damaged by printer

  • Non-bubble sheets are uploaded: If a question sheet or blank sheet is included in the uploaded PDF

Scanning Error Examples

How to resolve Scanning Errors

1. Review the image preview of the test sheet. Decide whether or not the sheet needs to be graded by Akindi and included in the assessment.

Review image preview

2a. If a sheet needs to be graded, select 'Request Repair'.

Click 'Request Sheet Repair'

2b. A sample message will pre-populate in the chat window. Add any desired details and click the 'send' arrow. The Akindi team will receive the message and fix the damaged sheet so it can be graded by Akindi.

3. If an uploaded sheet does not need to be graded, select 'Discard Sheet'. The sheet will be removed from the assessment.

Click 'Discard Sheet'

Bulk Actions: How to resolve multiple Scanning Errors at once

1. Select the desired exceptions using the checkboxes in the middle column or click 'Select all'.

Click the desired check boxes or click 'Select All'

2. Select either 'Request Repair for all' or 'Discard all'. All selected test sheets will be either sent to the Akindi team for repair or removed from the assessment.
