Akindi takes time zones into account when setting assessment schedules and displaying the schedule to students.

Dates and Times Displayed to Instructor

As an instructor, the times displayed in Akindi reflects your local time zone.

Assessment Schedule for Students in Different Time Zones

Regardless of where the student is in the world, the assessment's activation window will remain the same relative to the instructor's time zone.

For example...

If an instructor in Toronto sets the assessment schedule to 12noon - 2pm ET,

a student in Vancouver will have to complete the assessment between 9am - 11am PT,

while a student in London, UK will have to complete the assessment between 5pm -7pm GMT.

Assessment Schedule Displayed in Emails

In emails sent to students, the schedule will be displayed in the instructor's local time zone and the time zone will be stated explicitly.

Assessment Schedule Displayed in Student Portal

Akindi will check the student's time zone setting and display the activation date and deadline relative to their local time.

For example, if the assessment schedule is 12noon - 2pm ET, a student in Vancouver will see the assessment schedule as 9am - 11am PT.
