What is Question Weight?

Question weight is the number of marks that the student can be earn for answering the question correctly. By default, the question weight is set to one (1).

A question can be worth multiple marks, partial marks, or zero marks.

A question worth zero (0) marks will still be included in the results analysis, but will not affect a student’s mark/grade. This can be useful for survey questions, or to “remove” a question from a test.

How to change question weight

1. Click 'Edit Answer Key' on your course dashboard.

2. Click the Display Advanced Marking toggle in the top right-hand corner of the answer key creator.

3. Type the desired number of marks for into the text box. The change will automatically be saved.

Any test sheets that have already been uploaded to Akindi, will be automatically regraded.
