I can't access the assessment from my LMS course

What to do if it says the assessment must be opened from Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, or D2L but you are already logged in.

Why are you seeing this error message?

When clicking 'Start Assessment' from your LMS course, you may have seen a message stating that the assessment must be opened from the LMS.

Assessment should be opened from Blackboard message

In this instance, Akindi believes that you have attempted to access the assessment from a location other than your LMS course.

This is likely because:

  • You do not have cookies enabled in your browser settings

  • You attempted to open the assessment in an incognito browser window or tab

How to resolve this error

  1. Check that you have cookies enabled in your browser

  2. Close any incognito windows with the assessment page open

  3. Refresh the browser window or tab with your LMS open

  4. Click 'Start Assessment' from your LMS course again
