Instructors can now add fill-in-the-blank questions to an assessment.

Questions uploaded through Word documents that include a blank (_____) and do not include any multiple choice answer options, will automatically be identified as a fill-in-the-blank (FITB) question.

FITB questions can also be created or identified manually by selecting the question type dropdown menu in the 'change marking' menu and selecting 'fill-in-the-blank'.

Each question includes a blank where students write their own answer directly on the page.

Test question sheets containing fill-in-the-blank questions can be scanned and uploaded into Akindi to be digitally graded by the instructor.

Fill in the blank gives instructors that question style within Akindi, so more of an assessment can live in one place.

Written answer questions now include a rectangle on the page, giving students a defined space to write their answer. Instructors can adjust the size of this rectangle to match the length of response each question calls for.

The rectangle updates to match the instructor's selection in real-time on both the questions tab and on the exported PDF, so what instructors set is exactly what students see on the printed exam.
