Deploy Akindi to OrgUnit

How to deploy Akindi to separate OrgUnits in D2L in order to track usage by campus, faculty, or department.

Deploying the tool

1) From the 'Manage Extensibility' modal and go to 'LTI Advantage'.

2) Select 'Akindi LTI 1.3' tool and scroll to the bottom and click 'View Deployments'

3) Click 'New Deployment'

  • Enabled: Toggle on

  • Auto Migrate Links: Toggle off

  • Tool: Select the previously configured tool

  • Name: Akindi [stg/prod]

  • Extensions: Leave as is

Security Settings:

  • Check: User Information (this will automatically check all)

  • Check: Classlist including users not known to this deployment

Configuration Settings

  • Check: Open as External Resource

  • Check: Grades created by LTI will be included in Final Grade

  • Unchecked: Auto create grade items

Under 'Make tool available to', click 'Add Org Units'.

Select the desired deployment.

4) Click 'Create Deployment'.

5) Copy the Deployment ID in the pop-up menu and make note of the corresponding campus, faculty, or department.

6) Share the Deployment ID and the name of campus, faculty, or department with Akindi Account Manager.

7) Click 'View Links'

8) Click 'Done'
