What is a 'Live' Assessment?

An assessment is considered 'live' when:
1) The activation date has passed for one or more students, AND
2) The assessment has been delivered to one or more students

Once the assessment is live, Akindi limits what can be edited to ensure a smooth experience for students.

What edits can be made on a live assessment?

What can be edited?

  • Assessment deadlines and time limits can be extended.

  • The answer key, including correct answer(s), grading scheme, and question weight, can be changed.

What cannot be edited?

  • The question content cannot be edited.

  • The activation date cannot be changed.

Edit schedule for live assessment

When the assessment is live, the deadline and time limit can be extended. We do not allow for deadline and time limits to be reduced on live assessments.

1. Click 'View Online Assessment Status' on course dashboard.

2. Select the desired students.

3. Click 'Actions' dropdown menu and select 'Edit Assessment Timing'.

Actions > Edit assessment timing

4. Enter new deadline and/or time limit. Click 'Save & Continue'.

5. The next time the students answers a question, they will be notified of the updated schedule and their timer will update accordingly.
